Autumn whitewater on the West Coast

Brilliant weather today! The Buller River is running strong, ‘swift and deep.’ One of the very first areas in New Zealand to be designated as a protected environment, the Buller Gorge is particularly lovely in the early winter sunight. Between rapids, you can hear the unique bell-like calls of the Tuis and Bellbirds–not to be missed!!
